Acupuncture Works Better Than Drugs Like Aspirin to Reduce Chronic Headaches

Migraine/Headache treatment at Centre of Balance Hamilton

As an acupuncturist I always curious how does the western world look at acupuncture treatment.  I know that western people want to know more about acupuncture too and they have been trying to get they on way to understanding acupuncture.

Well, I have done my study in Shanghai University of Traditionally Chinese Medicine, operate Centre of Balance Chinese medicine and acupuncture in hamilton in the last 7 years. I have just had a very severe chronic headaches patient today and i gave her instant pain relief within 2 minutes. I have fixed some headache and migraine for my patients by acupuncture and unique acu-point technique in the past.

I was thinking that i really want to know "Are there any researches of acupuncture successful treating/fix/cure chronic headaches and migraine in western country in the past?" So I googled it and I found a news of "acupuncture beats aspirin for chronic headache"  on

It showed " A review of studies involving nearly 4,000 patients with migraine, tension headache and other forms of chronic headache showed that that 62 percent of the acupuncture patients reported headache relief compared to 45 percent of people taking medications, the team at Duke University found."

I was very happy that I saw the result was 62 percent patients reported headache relief after acupuncture compared to 45 percent of patients taking western medications.

Then I asked myself how come the result was not 100 percent or at least 95 or 90 percent patients reported headache relief from acupuncture treatment? I really would expected that percentage should be higher than 62 percent.

When I keep reading though the news, I found out those people who suffered from chronic headache stared to felt relief after five or six visit. I was thinking "What!!!"

Why didn't they get relief in the first acupuncture treatment?

I went back to read it again, It said "They found it took on average five to six visits for patients to report headache relief."

What the ……? That’s not what acupuncture should be performing. Surely, acupuncture should do better than that. In my mind "Acupuncture should work immediately." I was thinking that they did not get the right acupuncturist who can perform immediate acupuncture results. I always tell my patient you should see immediate results in your first treatment and I guarantee it, if you don’t see any results in your first session of acupuncture for your chronic headache ( in fact, for any pain relief ) we would not charge you at all. My master taught me "instant work acupuncture" and i learnt it and deeply believe in it then i am very confident in my acupuncture ability then i guarantee it

I know there is a lot of people out there looking for help, but don't know where to go and where to start, and i understand that your family doctor does not know that acupuncture can be more effective than painkillers. Then you end up with taking the nasty painkillers to control the headache and migraine for years and feeling frustrated because it keep coming back. You keep it in your mind that you have to live with it for the rest of your life.

Well, you are not alone. We help a lot of patients get better from headaches or migraine.

Here is a tip for you (for who suffer from chronic headaches or migraine), when you looking for an acupuncturist you should look the one who practice Dr Tan balance method acupuncture. Whoever practise Dr Tan balance method acupuncture has the ability to give you immediate results in your first visit, if you can see the results in your first treatment, you should keep the treatments until you are free from headaches or migraines.

You might want to ask me “ How long does it take to fix your headaches or migraines?”

Unfortunately, I have no idea. As everyone is unique and every case is very different. I only can tell you “stick with it until you get all better, if you can see the results in your first treatment”.

Please note that I found that by simply using acupuncture method for treating headaches and migraines, you might need to take acupuncture treatment for your headache or migraines everyday to start with, then gradually cut down to 3 acupuncture session weekly, then 2 time weekly then 1 time weekly until you are all better.

I apply Dr Tan balance method acupuncture, unique acu-point technique ( I teach my headaches and migraines patient to apply this technique themselves at home too)  and heat pack on unique acu-point areas everyday. Then I found these combinations are better than just only applying acupuncture. It still give you immediate results each time then I found the results of the combination last longer and faster to fix headaches and migraines.

One more benefit is you don’t need to come everyday for treatment to start with. This combination works well with only 3-acupuncture treatments weekly start with. Then gradually cut down to 2 acupuncture treatments weekly, then one acupuncture treatment weekly as you get better until you don’t get completely better.
