Diet for Fertility Part 5

Fertility – How Can Acupuncture Play a Role?

Studies have shown the benefits of acupuncture for fertility and the medical world is now starting to pay more attention to acupuncture as a valid treatment method for fertility.  A 2014 study undertaken by the International Journal of Women’s Health helped to play a critical role in changing how people feel about acupuncture.

While it’s been a part of Chinese medicine for a long time, in the West it’s slowly beginning to become a more accepted form of medical practice. From helping to reduce anxiety to helping with physical pain, acupuncture has been shown to have the potential to make a lasting difference to how you feel.  There is a growing wealth of information showing that the role acupuncture has on fertility is far beyond what many would have expected before.

Acupuncture and Fertility: The Power of Eastern Medicine

By looking at this particular study, we can find a large amount of information to help better understand the role that acupuncture can play in fertility.

By looking across over 200 documents, the conclusion was pretty clear that the preliminary data shows a strong, balanced and natural link between fertility and the use of acupuncture. With over 200 documents looked at in the study, many contrasting forms of information were checked in a bid to try to find as definitive an answer as is reasonably possible.

The idea is that the use of acupuncture can play a key role in helping to improve menstrual health. Since it helps to manage menstruation better, it can also play a key role in helping women stay calm when they suffer a delay in pregnancy. As any woman trying for a child will know, the frustration felt from a failure to fall pregnant can be a huge drain on your emotional strength and happiness generally.

However, that can easily be overcome by simply looking at the conclusion of this study. It shows that acupuncture can play a major role in helping to improve reproductive functioning. That being said, more research is needed to see just how verifiable this kind of discovery is; and what kind of role it plays in the safe development of improved quality of life.

While more clinical research will be carried out in the future, there is enough proof at present to show that acupuncture can play a key role in helping to maintain a better, healthier mood – which is vital for improving fertility.
