What Is Involved in Treatments:

1) Acupressure: We show you all the acupressure points that you can do yourself at home. For those unique JiaJi points that you can’t reach yourself, we will do it for you.

2) Acupuncture: We practise Dr Tan’s Balance Method Acupuncture and Master Pan Acupuncture Spirit and Navel Acupuncture which may give you instant relief in your first treatment.

3) Heat Pack Therapy: We will show you where and when it is best to apply heat packs. If you only apply heat packs on the painful area it won’t get rid of the pain.

When it comes to fertility treatments I am passionate about the results I can give to my patients, as my wife was once labelled “infertile” and I treated her as my own patient.

Tracy had suffered from Polycystic Ovaries and was told it would be highly unlikely for her to become pregnant.  I prescribed Chinese medicine for her and she became pregnant naturally.  When she had early signs of a miscarriage, (bleeding), I used acupuncture and moxibustion and stopped the bleeding.  My wife was my first fertility patient and she went on to give birth naturally.  Our beautiful daughter is now 8 years old!

When Tracy came back to work at our clinic, she mainly took care of all the fertility patients and I helped the others. We decided to home school our daughter when she was about 2 years old, so Tracy stopped seeing fertility patients to stay at home with her and to take care of the clinic’s accounts and administration. Since then I have treated all the fertility patients in our clinic.

When receiving treatment for fertility from me, I will give you acupuncture, Chinese medicine and dietary advice.  You may experience improvement in your irregular menstrual periods, cramping, abdominal or lower back pain, loose stools or constipation during your menstrual period, irritability, PMS symptoms among others in just a few weeks’ time.

I believe that every woman can become pregnant naturally without the use of drugs, IUI and IVF.  We just need to get your body back in balance so that the conditions will be right for pregnancy to occur.

Acupuncture treatment involves inserting thin needles into acupuncture points on the body relative to the condition being treated. The needles are very small, and usually don’t hurt any more than a pin prick would. There are some points that are more painful than others, but the pain relief that follows is worth the needle’s sting!

Acupressure therapy is much like acupuncture, except the practitioner will use their hands to place pressure on certain acupuncture points to relieve blockages and stimulate the flow of Qi.

Moxibustion is a form of heat therapy where a practitioner will burn what is called a “Moxa Stick” usually made from Chinese Mugwort (Artemisia Argyi) and hold it just above the surface of the skin. The stick is often burnt over certain acupuncture points to warm and encourage the flow of Qi in the body and eliminate pathogenic influences. Patients will feel radiating warmth along the Jing Luo channels stimulated.

Heat packs:

Heat increases blood circulation due to the warmth causing vessels to dilate. Heat also removes cold and dampness. Heat brings more blood into the area to stimulate the healing of damaged tissues; you will feel a direct soothing effect and also instant relief from pain/cramp/spasm. It can also ease stiffness and tightness by making the tissues softer.

Simply applying a heat pack won’t fix your back pain, but application of heat will help heal your back pain faster than acupuncture treatment by itself. Our heat packs are homemade from organic materials.
